Thank you to everyone who helped us raise enough money in 2015 to commission Hillcrest Structural Limited to erect the steel frame and get the roof on. Your amazing fundraising efforts also enabled us to commission Fengate Properties Limited to get the walls up, utilities all connected and start the internal building works. Funding awarded by Veolia Environmental Trust paid for Pennington Jones (HI) Limited to fit the windows and doors last year and will also contribute to installing the heating and getting the internal walls up. Merdon Electrical have started the electrics this week and we will be looking to fit the boiler and under floor heating shortly. The building is looking fantastic!
We are looking to finish the centre this summer so that the units and girls can return to the building at the start of the new term in September. This new centre will have many benefits for the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Volunteers and community groups. It will be a warm, welcoming and accessible venue for activities and events. Our old building was so cold that we cannot wait to move into our new home! We need £30,000 to complete the building. We have set up a donation site with BT My Donate which is on our home page. Please help us to get the building finished by making a donation. We have come so far since demolishing the original building – we are on the home stretch now – please give generously and see the finished building for yourselves at our Annual Summer Fete on Saturday 25th June 2016!
